About Nat
I have spent nearly two decades at the intersection of climate, technology, strategy, and capital markets. I am focused on how businesses approach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by mid-century.
I have helped grow a major research company, built definitive research products and corporate growth strategies, written hundreds of thousands of words, delivered hundreds of keynotes and given too many executive and board briefings to count.
I am a climate-focused keynote speaker, board-level strategy facilitator, consultant, and advisor and founder. I am a co-founder of Halcyon, an AI-assisted research and information platform focused on energy transition and decarbonization. I am the founder and managing director of Business Climate, a Singapore-based decarbonization consulting company. I am a member of the advisory boards of climate and energy think tank Ember and utility enterprise data and community solar platform Arcadia. I was a venture partner at early-stage climate tech venture capital fund Voyager Ventures from 2022 to 2023. I was a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Market Risk Advisory Committee's Climate-Related Market Risk Subcommittee from 2019 to 2021.
Previously, I spent 15 years with BloombergNEF. I joined New Energy Finance as a startup, and worked there through its acquisition by Bloomberg, integration as BloombergNEF, and expansion to cover every sector of global emissions. I finished my time there as the group’s Chief Content Officer. In 2014, I began writing Sparklines, a weekly column and newsletter on energy and climate, for Bloomberg clients. I published my last column in December 2023 for more than 250,000 subscribers.
I am based in Singapore. I have lived and worked in Washington DC, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Bologna, New York City, Cairo, Cambridge Massachusetts, and Decatur Georgia.
